Phil questions KOBE 's commitment | | wha can you say about Kobe's noshow in LAS VEGAS?

It's fair enough to say that the Lakers management has not done a good enough job of surrounding Bryant with the type of talent that would be enough to get them further into the playoffs, and if I were in his shoes I'd probably think and want the same thing: get traded to a contender.
His no-show in Las Vegas might be a legitimate injury, but that's nowhere as important as his trade demands. He might just be looking to upset the team and force a trade, but even if he doesn't do that, I think the Lakers now have to face the truth that their superstar's so disgruntled they just have to get someone else for Kobe's job. They still can get pretty good deals for Bryant at this point (the Chicago Bulls being one such customer at this point, possibly swapping Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni, Tyrus Thomas, and a future pick for the-81-point-show), and they should be wise enough not to let that value rot away.

id_pop (199) | 3 years ago | Well, right now the team closest to having the right players for a Kobe Bryant deal is the Chicago Bulls, and if their most feasible package (Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni, Tyrus Thomas, Joakim Noah, and a future draft pick) would go to the Lakers this season, I don't think they're going to get the ticket sales you mentioned. Not only does this package not have a legitimate superstar (even the best player in that possible deal, Gordon, is playing in and out of the Bulls' starting lineup), Kobe Bryant is a one-of-a-kind player; in popularity, only LeBron James is right there with him at the top. Not even Kevin Garnett can get the amount of ticket sales he single-handedly gives the Lakers franchise.

Look at Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, they can only dream of winning a NBA championship. Kobe's a spoiled Brat not only has he experienced winning a championship but he made more money then Charles and Karl and many other great basketball players i didn't mention could only dream of. Maybe, The team isn't good enough to win a championship, or maybe it's Kobe that isn't good enough to win a championship with the team he has.
