I watched the movie Penny Dreadful over the weekend....

I enjoyed the movie, really suspenseful and all but I thought it held back on the horror/gore. I was also disappointed in the ending. I felt cheated like it should have been more climactic. Was anyone else disappointed in this movie?

I have not seen it yet. It was not on the list of movies in our Movie Channel and we did not sign up for Scream, that is the Horror Movie Channel here in Canada. I do not know if it has been released for the Movie Channels yet, but since I am a fan of "women in danger" movies, when it comes out, I will watch it, preferably not at night. My movies seem to end up in my dreams. Was it better than 'Christine"? Being a Stephen King fan, I saw that one years ago and that was scary.

Here in the U.S. I was able to buy the DVD at Wal-Mart. But when we watched it we watched cable (hubby did not realize we own a copy). I too am a Stephen King fan and Christine is way better than Penny Dreadful. It is suspenseful but too much time spent on one aspect. You will understand when you see it. Let me know what you think when you do get to view it.
