bereavement councilling

Today I finally admitted that I cant cope without my mother. My brother came out today for a chat and admitted to me that he had made an appointment to see a bereavement councilor. I was a bit taken aback because he has always bottled his feelings up. I had a feeling that he was finding it hard to cope but because he never said anything I thought that he was doing ok. It has been 18 months now that my mum is gone, but I still seem to be having more bads days than good. Have you ever been to one, and did you find that it helped?? It would be nice to know your feedback.

Yes and No. Basically they're someone to talk to and they ask questions and stuff. It's really nice. Nice to have someone to talk to and everything. But in the end it's like.. wait. did they really help me at all? really they help you get your feelings out and realize things you may not have realized before... but it's really yourself doing it all. In my head that means I'm awesome and I can do it myself. But... I'd say give it a try.

Thanks raychill, I might just do that. I know that its not going to make everything alright, but it would help.
