Classic Star Trek is so cheesy. But, I love it!

Last week, I watched an episode of classic Star Trek for the first time in ten years. It was so cheesy you could practically taste the nacho on every cheesy bite. But, it was surprisingly good.
For the longest time I couldn't stand classic Star Trek and would only watch the new episodes of Voyager or Enterprise. But now I look forward to watching it every weekend, in reruns. I guess now that the newer Star Trek episodes are gone, the old ones don't seem so bad anymore. What do you love most about classic Star Trek?

I love the original star trek series. William Shatner was my hero. I watched it when it was on television. I now own the seasons on dvd. I also like Spok. The volcan is so stiff and lacks any sense of humor that he is totally funny. The doctor called Bones is so down to earth that he is funny as well. Yes there are a few episodes of this show that I look back on and see the fake aliens and the cheap sets but that was what they had at that time. I hope you will watch all the star trek episodes of the original series and see that they are very enjoyable and funny. I never did get into any of the other star trek series. I did not like the next geration, voyager, or enterprise either. I will always be a fan of Captain Kirk.
