we have a 6 month old jack russell and i think my mum has mothered him to much ...at this very moment hes whining and crying bcos they have left him to go out. any tips on how to shut him up and have him stop whining every time my mum leaves the house ?

sorry to say you guys will have to treat the puppy just like you treat a toddler.... say no until he gets it , that he can't always have his way... problem? yeah you are going to hear a lot of whining that you don't want to hear and want stopped immediately.

haha..yeh hes acting just like a toddler..thankfully hes stopped now..and gone off to sulk somewhere...haha. thanks for the response!

Buy a cheap muzzle and muzzle him the next time he starts whining. We did that to my dog when her whining got to be too much for us to take. Luckily, she learnt fast and stopped-- but not before chewing the muzzle into shreds as a form of retribution~
