My Mother

Its funny how we can take people for granted in life. Take my mother for instance. She is well into her 70's now and lives with her 2nd husband whom she married a few years after the death of my Daddy-who went to be with Jesus in 1995. She has always been the object of family discussions due to her excentricities. But somehow, through it all, she has always been there for me. She has loaned me money, listened to me, treated me like a child, of course, and been a rock of faith and someone I look up to. But I know that someday she wont be here anymore (even tho we joke that she will outlive everyone else in the family) So I wonder why I take her for granted like I do. Something that I shouldnt.
