Saving accounts  | |  Do you have one? If so, who do you bank through and what kind of interest are you getting?
I have been heavily looking into MMA Savings and have found a few banks that look good until you realize that I am thinking about going with First Bank of Omaha Online. They Are currently at 5.05% and compound interest monthly. I am trying to find a better option through Cap 1 or HSBC because they have fewer (or no) fees and offer check and ATM services.

I have one through the crdit union of the hospital that i would 4 which has about $30 in it and I have another through the bank that i have a checking account and it only has .99 cents in it ugh i cant to much save these days as im in way to much debit and behind in bills ugh

The account you have .99 cents in, dump it unless it is providig free checking for you at that bank. But you do have the right amount in it smile. Please read what I wrot Sedel.

Really the other account is just very convenant i can transfer to and from my checking online since its at the same bank as where the other i have to drive there to withdraw
but thats probaly good as i have to really need it to drive there to get it | |

| | | 2. Sailor (693) | 10 months ago | Look into some out of the country banks, they tend to provide higher interest, plus you gain some money right away because you are depositing U.S. funds. As far as here, check online into Flying J.com. It is primarily services for truckers and travelers, but they have nice interest rates and are primarily online. A lot of their accounts are short term low cost to start up, such as their Cd's which always produce more returns than savings accounts. Many don't realize that what they put into a savings account can often be put into a CD or Money Market, and some have check writing privileges so you have access to the money. You only use a savings account to build up money until you have enough for the other accounts. | |

| Sailor (693) | 10 months ago | Your very welcome. Although I was a Sailor, I drive 24ft trucks wherever the $ is. I don't work for them but utilize their services. They also have Savings/IRA'S for saving for education with high interest rates, and all of their accounts are primarily online accounts. And don't charge for you to make transactions over the phone. | |
