What Do You do When Your Kid gets a cold?

With the recent recall of the child's cold medicines, what do we do for the kids? I try to do natural or home remedies when i can, but often they just don't work. Well, actually only things that do work are the "satisfy the symptoms" part of the cold. What do you do to handle the cause?

I get out the vicks vapo rub. heat up some apple juice. get out the footie jammies and kleenex.Get out the peppermint Altoids(my daughter loves them and they clear the sinuses and soothe the throat) Put in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Nightmare Before Christmas, or Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. These are her favorite movies, and cuddle til she feels better.

Oh, my gosh, that is what I do! althoug I use cherry flavored cough droups and we watch Prancer, My Little Pony, Max and Ruby (cartoon) and homegrown mint tea!

They get a cold. We get a good lil memory. Tradeoff but it still shared time. Even if they are a little miserable.

My thoughts exactly! Nothing worse for a mother than to feel un-needed by her kids! I'm going through that right now - mine are 24 and 29 and they don't need me anymore!!!!
