Mr Toilet builds Toilet Shaped House!

In South Korea politician Sim Jae-Duck has made a giant luxury house in the shape of the toilet. He did this to commemorate the inaugral meeting of the worl toilet Association later this month. They hope to bring hygiene standards up around the world. The UN sites that 2.5 billion people around the world live without proper sanitation or water supplies.

That is indeed really intresting and would no doubt attract many tourists while at the same time getting the message across that basic sanitation is a right tht noone should be deprived of. It is heartbreaking to know that despite the medernisation of the human race, many people in this world do no yet have proper toilets or washing facilities. And it is also very heartening to know that this "monument" if you could call it that was funded by Sim Jae-Duck and that the public coffers were not used.

I think it is really great that a private citizen would go out of his way to fundraise for such a worthy cause. During the middle ages the lack of sanitation is what lead to a fast widespread outbreak of the bubonic plague. It would be sad to see that repeated in any country in this day and age.
Its also not something that a lot of people think about.
