Thanks shakeroo...that's such a cute name! You just treasure the next few months with your son, he will go from being just a baby to an almost toddler in such a short time. It's exciting but at the same time a little bittersweet...at least it is for me because this one is my last baby.

Oh, there's nothing to be sorry about. I would have liked one more little girl but this one was #6 for me and #8 combining mine an my s/o's children. The family is plenty big enough and now we can just sit back and wait for the grandbabies...which won't be too long of a wait since the oldest two will be 16 and 18 on their next birthdays. Hopefully a few years, but not too long!

No problem! It's still his birthday here...actually it won't even be "official" for about 40 more minutes. It's 9:40pm here and he wasn't born until 10:18pm!

I can tell that it is indeed exciting and special because from the way you posted, I would have thought he was your first! LOL Cool! :) Congrats again!! Your kids are very very very blessed!! :)

Well the way I look at it he's my first Nicholas to have a first birthday. I've always tried to treat my children as individuals rather than lumping them together as a group. It's hard sometimes but usually works out pretty good.

Thanks TerryZ! Daddy picked up a little cake this morning just for us to have for today but we'll have two more (with each set of grandparents) before the celebrating is over. And we just finished off his grandpa's birthday cake last night, AND my oldest daughter's birthday is in 3 weeks!

When my daughter turned one in June, we got her a cake too and man did she ever make a mess lol!

I'll sneak some pictures of him with his cake in here somewhere tomorrow when s/o gets back with his phone. It wasn't as much fun as a chocolate cake but he did pretty good...for some reason the 3 little boys are very areful eaters!

You know what? With everything else going on I did forget about that! I know he's been to the bank since so I assume he got the money back but I never thought to ask. :)

Even though he has been taking a few steps for about 3 weeks, I still get excited everytime he tries. He goes a little farther everytime and I just keep watching him not wanting to miss a single step. Thanks saivenkaat!

Thanks poormom! His rash on his face is barely noticeable now, it's still there on his legs a little but not nearly as bad as it was. He still has a runny nose but is in good spirits! We're still waiting on his oldest brother's test results (which I had a bad dream about last night) but other then that things are looking up for us finally!

I hate those dreams about the kids being sick, hurt or even worse....

It was just so weird and real feeling, I even checked the caller ID just to make sure it didn't actually happen....In the dream the phone rang and I saw the name of the doctor on the caller ID and she told me that what he had was really serious and we needed to get him in for more tests and scans right away. So then of course for the rest of the day I jumped whenever the phone did ring. I'm thinking (hoping) that since we haven't heard yet it can't be something THAT bad anyway...although I basically already know it isn't very good either.
