As some of my friend know, I suffer from pregnancy diabetes. They really discoverd it early in my pregnancy. At first I found it hard because I had to change a lot of thinks in my food. I have to vount all the glucide in what I eat.
I didnt really had problem controling it at first.
yesterday I went to the nutrionist and now I have to have insuline injection twice a day. I found that very hard. I never had big sickness in my life. I try to be strong, but I'M so afraid to keep the diabetes after. I know that only 5% of the woamn who has it keep it, but I'nm afraid.
This morning, was the first time I had a bad rate after breakast. I'M afraid that I will have 2 take 3 times day.
I want to know if you, or someone you know had pregnancy diabates and how they have deal with it. If they had to have insuline injuection and if they have kept the diabetes after ...

hi beyonce. i am so sad upon learning about your condition. i know how hard it is to have diabetes because i know some people who has it. but i don't know anyone who has pregnancy diabetes. it really sounds bad from what you said. what i can tell you is that be strong and think that it will be fine in the end. just treat it as something you have to do for your baby. its easy to follow your diet when you think that way. and as long as you have self-discipline, then i think you would be fine. ^__^
i am hoping for the best of you, i will pray for your good health and also for your baby. ^__^ God bless you!

Since I started the insuline, I can see my rate doing better, at the same time I really feel better. I'M always telling myself that I'M doing that for my baby :)
I'M feeling better then yesterday. But it still kinda hard the diet. Because you really have to count all the glucide you eat. I can eat less glucide then a diabetes person :P
Only 4month to live like that and after that I only have 6% of the chance to keep it. If I eat healthy after, everything can b so fine :)
A big thank you for your comment :) That's really what I need right now : support :)

I had a friend who had her baby last year and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Most of the time she ignored what the docs told her about her diet. She ate what she wanted. She had to give herself injections 2 or 3 times a day. Her baby was not too big, like they warned her he would be if she continued to eat however she wished...BUT he was born with multiple problems that may have stemmed from her negligent dieting habits. I cannot imagine how difficult it is to change your whole life in one instant like that- to never have been sick and then have to suddenly diet, give yourself injections and all of that must be awful! The good news is that for most people it all goes away after you have the baby! My friend did not have diabetes any more after her baby was born- she is back to normal and eats what she wants! But they did warn her that she is more at risk for type 2 diabetes later on in life.
I am actually on the opposite end of the spectrum as you are- I have very low blood sugar and my doctor told me that I absolutely MUST eat every few hours and to eat or drink something sweet if I suddenly feel light-headed, dizzy or weak. They didn't have to tell me twice!

When I want to eat sweets or things like that I always tell myself that all of that is for the baby :) I'M happy that my boyfriend help me a lot with that. I think that the the more difficult will be in the holiday time.
But right now with my injection my rate are so much better and my stressed is all gone. because even if you have a good diet, sometimes your rate are not good, but you still blame yourself lol
But I think the harder is not being able toeat a big big bowl of pasta lol
A big thank you for your comment :)

Hello beyonce03,Thanks for your post.My friends wife had much more complications than you and I was with them from begining till her succesful delivery in 2005, she and her
baby is doing absolutely fine, so dont worry, just relax and follow all the advices of your doctor dont get tensed yourself, doctors know how to deal this situation but dont forget to visit a doctor once in two weeks for a checkup.I wish you all the best.

I'M not really afraid for the baby. I think everything will be better in 3 weeks when I willonly work 4h a day. I will be able to relax more.
I never been sick in my life so it,s hard for me to have that right now. I'M just afraid to keep the diabetes after. I know I don,t have to stress (not good for the baby)
A big thank you for your comment. Every comment I receive help me a little bit more :)

I have a friend who added red mushroom to her diet. It is now capsulized named gano excellium. This helps your pancreas to function and this is also good for the brain for you and your baby.
