Dancing Jail Inmates - only in the Philippines!!!

For the past months the dancing inmates in our city made the headlines and caught the interests of a lot of people in the world. It just started with the Cebu Provincial Detention & Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC)administrator wanting to instill more discipline and thought of teaching them to dance. Aside from teaching them more discipline, they now have enough interest to occupy them and be out of mischief. LOL! Without knowing that such move would make them celebrities in their own ways. Lots of shows had featured them and they earned the most viewed video in youtube. I have attached here the link to their video with over 1,500 jail inmates dancing to the tune of Thriller and was already watched by over 8million people around the world. They may look so orange but they make a very good dance production wherein especially love the bald man acting the only lady on their production. Enjoy!

Hi cdparazo! I have watched them in youtube and it is really a great idea by the warden. An idea that will somehow make the inmates be rehabilitated in a very positive way. I have heard that it has good reviews and some international prisons are really looking to the idea if it will wok well with their inmates. My favorites are the Thriller and the Sister Act. haha.. It is indeed something that only Filipinos can think of. With our penchant of singing and dancing, well, its comes as a no surprise. I am glad that their efforts paid off and one result also is that they get a lot help for their families because of their dancing. take care too & thanks!

its is great idea for those inside in the rehabilatation, it will give them moreencouragement to do the right way even to they are inside.I have watched them in youtube and it is really a great idea by the warden. An idea that will somehow make the inmates be rehabilitated in a very positive way.

Yep, I've seen this video some time ago and I must agree, it is hilarious, LOL! And to think that that dance has started a lot of other Thriller dance around the world. Well, good for us Pinoys!:P
