...Then write to someone in English. Keep posting here and ask people to correct mistakes you have made. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. They will be what you learn the most from.

| | 2.  nesher (147) | 3 years ago |  I came to US 11 years ago with minimum English knowledge. When I listened conversation, I could not even separate it into separate words. I started listen radio and watch TV, even I understood very little. Eventually, it all came together. Be patient and do not feel bad for your accent or poor comprehension. Do not be afraid to ask for clarification.
And, good luck. If you are a good engineer, your co-workers will give you some credit and will help you to improve your English.
