Holiday decorating or cleaning frenzy?  |

|  I don't know about the rest of you, but this next week is going to be a cleaning frenzy for me. We will be putting up our christmas decor and that means I have to make room for all the holiday stuff. We even have to move the furniture around a bit to make room for the tree so all the dust bunnies who were happily snoozing in the corner will be disturbed. The unmatched earring, lone barbie shoe and stray puzzle piece that someone placed on top of the bookshelf will have to find a new home so I can put my nativity set there. I spend so much of my time cleaning that it is always amazing to me that there is any dust left ANYWHERE, but when you start moving stuff around...there it is! I think I am going to try to get a head start this year and have everything spotless before we bring the decorations down from the attic. Then maybe I can just relax and enjoy putting up the tree and lights. Do you find secret messes when you are decorating for the holidays?

| |  I really dont decorate the inside of my house. I just put up my tree and I decorate the outside. Next week will be busy for me though. Because we are having thanksgiving dinner at my house so I will have to clean before everyone gets here and then cook. Then the day after Thanksgiving is when I start decorating.

| |  Beta, welcome again.I like your words and the style of presentation. I wish you would have been a good orator, a teacher in a college like me. Describing a simple thing in a nice way using simple words makes the presentation great and more appealing.
Our 'Diwali' the festival of lights is just gone. By tradition, we are supposed to clean the entire house, the cobwebs, the floor etc and paint the doors, walls, windows, grills. The exteriors too are to be white washed.Yes, in the process of cleaning, my men, who do these works discover the wheels from the toy car, my lost spectacles, watch etc. Thanks for sharing.

| |  Me too. I'll be cleaning my room and the inside of my car this whole weekend. My friend from Texas is coming home for Thanksgiving and just in case we have a fiesta at my bar or go somewhere, I want my room and car both to be clean. I've already decorated everything for Christmas...probably should have done the cleaning part first...ha ha...oh well

| |  I don't really care about cleaning or the holiday. I have just quit my job so I have some extra time on my hands. I also hurt my back so I can't really do anything. So I've been cleaning up bit.

| |  I dont put my decorations up this early. I do it a couple of weeks before Christmas. And yes I move furniture around to make the tree fit. Of course there are some dust bunnies because during the year I dont pull my furniture out.
