If you died today would your family be taken care of? Who would get what? If you have children have you planned for their future if you died? I don't have one yet. I don't have dependents. I don't have my own home. I have a car and some investments (401K , mutual funds, stocks) that I want to go to my mother. What about you?

I don't have dependents either but I think everyone should have a will, as I have learnt from experience if you don't have a will it leave an enormous mess, for the courts to work out and I will add how grabbers come out of the woodwrk, it is amazing, I really can't believe some of the things I have witnessed. Today it is becoming popular to even have a living will which is one that explains everything the way you want it if you are in a serious accident, if you do not wish to be kept on life support, even some people are wearing tags now that says ...don not resusitate...to put your wishes in writing about anything makes it easier for your loved ones at a stressful time.
