Oh that too bad, I think it is a bit risky buying clothes on the internet as even in the stores it is wise to try some things on, sizes can be so different, and you are right things can look better in photos, I hope you find something somewhere that you like...

I do think about buying online is something need to have as we are now very busy offline and have to catch up our life schedule on daily basis. In fact on weekend very busy with our family life.

You are very lucky and fortunate as the seller/merchant was kind enough to you and showed that he is a real good businessman.

To me I am comfortable with online, just like I bought my computer. Even though the price might be higher compare to offline, but for me the warranty and guarantee plus their service-after-sales is what I am looking at as my priority.

That's main problem while buying some thing from net.Your coat buying is just one example.Although shopping is getting popular in Asia but is far behind Europe and America.I really have the same apprehension like you.You are lucky that the sailer was agreed to replace but every time that does not happen.So we should be very careful while buying anything online.

I just buy games on the internet.

I dont buy clothes or things like that, its better buying in a shop than the internet.

Hmm.. Being prudent is not bad.. But I think, that as long as you like what you are buying, and you do know the website thoroughly, I think its not that bad...

Well,I think such things do not happen all the time. Taobao is a good place to buy things. I have bought many things from it. Very conveniet.

buying clothes online is hard, because even though it can say one thing, it may not be the exact size.

Next time ask for dimension of what you are buying if you can, inseam, waist sizes....

if a stock photo, sometimes you might want to ask for a picture if he can,

But I do shop online, lately its been Christmas gifts for my kids and homeschooling,

I have to say that I have gotten some good deals, and have paid for everything via paypal, to ensure buyer protection.

I'm glad the seller was willing to work with you on a return. But you will have to pay return shipping, and possibly a restocking fee.

Sometimes it pays (literally) to email or contact the seller with some relevant questions before buying. Me being way down under in New Zealand I used to always email questions to online stores in UK, USA and ebay. Relevant questions are: Cost of insurance and shipping options - can it be tracked online?, what type of shipping - standard, surface mail, etc, and the expected delivery date.

Maybe ask for the manufacturer's/brand name for the item, including any model/serial numbers and it's origin and materials used. This will give you specific information, that you maybe able to review online to get some idea of the item's quality and reputation.

Also general questions, such as warranties, possible replacements, local customer support, item description/guidleines/manuals, contact details, and so on. Sometimes even ring them - This is what I use to do for credit card details and more specific questions...

buying products in the net is not bad but the only thing about it once the product you purchased is delivered to you..you dont know if there a missing quantity or broken when shipped yo you..you just dont know i still prefer having it in a real store.. i can choose and see

Hi,there! I've also bought many things in 'taobao'. I think it really depends on different sellers. Some of the things are not as good as what it was described online. But some owners are very honest and tell everything before we buy the things. I think at any time we should be prudent when we buy things online.We'd better observe more about the stores online. We can take a look at the comment that customers made for the store.If the store has a good reputation,then it's more reliable. I hope you'll get good product online next time. Good luck:)
