how many of you like classical music over pop music?

I am basically a great lover of music of all kinds.I listen to melodies, pop music, classical, every thing.

I enjoy any music so long as it has a few basic qualities....The lyrics should be good, the percussion should not be too jarring,the music shoud be soothing to the ears as well as the mind..

What ever the form of music, there shouid be a good blending of the instruments and the vocals,whether it be pop or classicaland a good rendition,if the music is to catch the ears of music lovers all over the world,irrespective of language barriers....

Pop music often junk by comparison but not always. There is some excellent, very simple classical music too. The problem for me that very few pop pieces have any detail or complexity - mostly just the same chords and tunes going round in circles. Classical music passed that about 600 years ago.

Most of us don't really listen to music the way we'd need to to like Classical - just 'hear' music. Listening is more like reading, while hearing is only seeing - it's just not the same. So we don't like anything to complicated that requires concentration. Get my drift?
