I went to my first sweat lodge this weekend

I am amazed that I have never been to a sweat lodge before but now I cannot say that. We went to th3 lodge leaders house to make prayer ties before we dressed in proper clothing, shorts for the men and a dress or skirt and top for the women. When we went into the lodge we were to touch out fore heads to Mother Earth and then proceed into the lodge to the left. After we were all seated the lodge leader called the fire tenders to bring in some stones from the fire. and he put some herbs on the stones before he put distilled water on them. We then , one at a time said prayers. And then there were more heated rock put into the pit and more prayers. This went on for four round of prayers. After wards we went out and kept warm around the fire until we finally went into the house were we had water and watermelon. The fire tenders and the lodge leader took showers and the others dried off and got dressed. We (the others) could not eat until the lodge leader and the fire tenders ate. how many of you have gone to sweat lodges or wanted to go to one?
