I can't agree with you more that badminton is a wonderful sport. Like you, I played badminton since when I was very young, around 12 years old. I used to live in a house near the end of a dead-end street. Since the road was quite quiet there, my neighbors and I drew a badminton court on the road and put up a net across the road. We had endless hours of fun playing badminton for many years. That was when I built up my skill in this sport. I was so good in it that in later years, I played competitive badminton, representing my office in several tournaments. One thing about badminton is that this is one sport where both the young and old can play. For the older folks, they can slow the pace of the game, and play a more "friendly" game by hitting more directly to each other so that less running around the court is required. In that way, these folks can still enjoy the sport, get some exercise and do some socialising as well.

yeah, i think play badminton have a lot of fun. i also like playing badminton when i was young and try to participate in some competition. it's popular game in my country. i always compete with my friend to improve our skill.
