Concentrating on Space Travel...in case of 2012  

Well yes but that would make sense and since when dos any government do anything that makes sense? SEriously though if we put money nto any of those things "just in case" there would be a whole other side of people saying the money was being wasted on that. We'll just have to keep making life here tolorable and deal with the 2012 prophesy when and if it happens.

I've read almost all of Zechariah Sitchin's books(The Twelfth Planet,Genesis Revisited,etc) and if one were to believe his theory of Planet X, it wouldn't come in our time nor our great,great grandchildren's time.Because his timetable would be somewhere in the vicinity of 2600AD to 3600AD.So stop worrying,there's plenty of things to worry about,lol.

I would not worry too much about 2012...

In any case... we don't have the technology to go anywhere yet. As long as we don't have an engine powerful enough to escape earth gravity with a large payload... we are not going anywhere.

And once we have such an engine... the next problem is "where do we go?"
Even if we could build a space ship travelling at the speed of light... it still would take 20 years before getting somewhere habitable.

My fairy is that we are all going to die... but it will be a long slow painful death over the next one hundred years. It is our own pollution which will kill us.

There's too much we need to fix on Earth that maybe people aren't looking that much to going off to space yet...

Let's just hope and pray "the end" won't come to soon. At least mankind should be ready by the time it creeps up on all of us...
