I'm both sad and disappointed to learn earlier today that England lost 3-2 to Croatia, when all they needed was just a draw to make it to Euro2008. England's Euro2008 dream is shattered, and it is now back to the drawing board. Although I have been a long-time supporter of England and English soccer, I feel that the national team has been over-rated. There are many European teams which are on par or better than the English team. England soccer seems to have been dominated more by money than pride. Now, McClaren's head is really on the chopping board after this morning's failure. We shall soon see what the FA will decide on his future with regards to managing the England Team. I read some commentaries from sports writers with regards to this morning's failure, and it does not look good. There seems to be a lot of disappointment and anger over this from fans and sportswriters. You can read it for yourself; here are links to two stories I've come across: a. http://www.football-engla... b. http://www.mirror.co.uk/s...

| strogy (50) | 10 months ago | I don't think it's a failure. It's just result of incompetent decissions. Why is FA run by people interested only in their own gain? Why is everything about national team always about money? And when everything went wrong, there is always some stupid excuse, and as a punishment, all those responsible are promoted and given bonuses? I just don't get it!
