Selling Handmade Items  | |  I like to craft. My favorite hobby is making candles. I start with a very good soy blend wax --I color and scent it and then pour it into containers and/or molds.
Second, I make handbeaded bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
Third, I dabble in wearable art --painted shirts, tote bags, etc.
Fourth, I make hair bows --all different kinds.
Last, I do some scrapbooking extras, like specialty die cuts.
I have sold a few of my items on e-bay, but craft items really haven't been big sellers for me.
Does anyone else craft and then sell their items? If so, what markets are the most profitable? I am looking for online and offline markets...so any information would be appreciated.

| | 2.  lilaclady (19671) | 3 years ago |  I have dabbled in a few different crafts but haven't tried to sell anything on a serious level, I think it can be good to have a craft stall somewhere, in a craft market or maybe even have a webpage of your own to sell a few things, but in my experience people seem to want things so cheap it is not worth doing them, I wish you luck in the future, I hope you find a way...

Way cheaper than Ebay and people usually buy stuff- if you like craft fairs you will love this site. I think it's 20 cents to list an item for 4 months and they use paypal like Ebay and you can set up your own shop! Promote it in the promotions area- worth a try.:)

I have to get off of my bum and do it too! I keep buying stuff off of there and it has been amazing! | |
