Are you familiar with Eskrima, the Filipino martial art? & Stargate Atlantis ...

Hello All,

Are you familiar with Eskrima? Have you ever studied the art? And, is this the martial art that Tayla & Ronin, characters from "Stargate Atlantis", practice?

I was recently glued to "The History Channel" (tv station), where an expose of Eskrima was featured. And let me say, I was captivated! The history of, and the art of engaging in Eskrima were both explained in detail.

Although many Japanese, Korean, and Chinese martial arts are offered in the USA, I've never seen Eskrima offered here.

So, what do you know about it? Is it very difficult to master? And, have you ever heard of it being taught in the USA?
