I don't really have a certain amount I spend it just depends on what I end up finding that I like. I buy for my husband, two kids, mother, aunt and mother in law and I have on newphew. It runs into quite a bit of money I do now that!

I don't have really certain amount on each memeber, it really depend's what i see. but the most the time, if we are giving each other something with friends, it is only something small. The most amount I am spending on my fiancee and then my brother. If I count it all together it would be probably over $300 and plus shipping since my family is far away from me and that is not a cheap thign either.

Let's see...
I buy for my husband, my four year old son, My Mom and Dad, My husbands Mom and Step Dad, My husbands Step Mom and his sixteen year old half sister...
That is family and then I buy for my Son's Therapist (He has Autism), My son's respite worker, his aid at school and his teacher.
To sum it up it adds up to a lot of money..truly I do not want to know what it costs me each year!!!!

I try to spend about the same on each person. When my brothers kids were younger I would shop at the discount stores for their pressies. Everything I ever bought for them either broke or you never saw it again. So as bad as it sounds it just never seems worth it spending too much money on them. My sister's family does a secret santa as there are so many people in the family. I think this is a great idea. They set a price limit for the presents which helps. When I was married my ex husband's family would do the same thing. And those with kids would also do a kids secret santa. It saves having to go out and buy about 20 or more presents. Especially when funds can be tight.
