Dukesfest  

Dukesfest is an annual weekend event in which fans of the 80's tv show, Dukes of Hazzard, and the cast from the show get together. Cast members from the show come to sign autographs and put on various performances. Fans of the show come to get these autographs, meet their favorite cast members from the show, watch the performances, get rides in a General Lee, show off their own General Lee if they have one and watch car stunts which are performed with General Lee's and replicas of the squad cars from the show. There are also a number of venders there selling T-shirts and assorted Dukes of Hazzard's merchandise and souveniers. I guess you could say it's sort of like a Star Trek convention might be, but where as Star Trek conventions are for Star Trek fans, Dukesfest is for Dukes of Hazzard's fans. (I'm guessing on that comparison as I have never been to a Star Trek convention in my life! lol)

The first event that qualified as a Dukesfest took place in Virginia, I think. Shortly after that the event was moved to Tennessee, Bristol for a few years, and Nashville for the past two years. For 2008 it is taking place in Atlanta, GA.
