To prolong the flowering of your plants you should remove the flowers before they die. This will trick the plant into making more flowers so that it can produce seed. I hope you find this information useful.

I hope this helps. When winter comes I cut down the plants so that the bulbs get the nutrients. In the spring I put mulch all around the plants to keep the weeds down. In the summer I use Miracle Grow. These things really seem to help my flowers grow and come back every year!
