"The trouble with kids today is the music they listen to!"

The trouble with kids today has nothing to do with TV, music, or video games. The problem with kids today is the lack of discipline and the excuses made by dr's and parents. (of course this isn't ALWAYS the case but it is the case in the majority of situations I've seen)

As you said, every generation has objected to the music its young people listened to. The young are only trying to find a way to express their individuality by being different than their parents. I don't think it matters what kids listen to or watch. After all, they have to learn to live with the iniquities of this world somehow. It's up to parents and teachers to teach them the values to deal with the bad without letting it corrupt them. Unfortunately, many parents aren't taking the time, and our schools are so severely overpopulated and teachers are so limited in what they can talk about that it isn't happening for a lot of kids.

Hi there alloy! I agree with ramitemporalis. It's not the music its how the kids are being raised and the pressures of society and in the home, dealing with their parents divorce or whether it be their parents just dont care about their kids.

i think that parents should not judge what their children listen to unless it is really offensive!

Must does have a huge effect on peoples moods, but to say its the problem with kids today is ludicrous. I listened to Eminem throughout high school, I graduated with honors, top of my class, never having detention, never had trouble with the police. The problem with kids today is THEIR PARENTS!
