Is it Time for the 49ers to Give Up on Alex Smith?

I'm a 49ers fan and I wanted to believe in Alex Smith, but to say he's been a disappointment is an understatement. I watch for signs that he'll turn it around, but as of now I haven't seen it. It's clear he misses Norv Turner, my hope is San Diego will fire Turner and he'll come back home and be the 49ers offensive cordinator.
