The future of the pistons?  | |  Are the pistons getting too old to hang with the younger teams such as the Celtics and Bulls? The Pistons have proven to the league that a truly "team" game can win a championship. However, the Pistons starting lineup will not be able to withstand the growth and maturity of these younger teams. Will there be another championship in the future for the Pistons? or has their era come to an end?

I wouldn't call the Celtics young considering that their "Big 3" will be out of their prime in a couple of years. As for the Chicago Bulls, it doesn't matter how young their players are the way their playing now. The era hasn't ended for the Pistons and I believe the have a good shot at the championship this year, or at least there conference championship. | |

| caf48180 (225) | 2 years ago |  I think the pistons are making ggod use of the starting 5 but also slowly working in bench talent to take over rolls like they did with Mcdyess and I think Maxiell is next and then Hayes and I think this team is tructured to keep good talent coming in for a long time as boston will have a few years and then have to buy a new team really!!

I'm just not sure Flip is the right coach for them. he has a pretty good season record,but his play off record really isn't to good. As much as I disliked him I sure would like Larry Brown back.
