What "Santa" questions did you ask your parents that made them have to...

think fast or tell the truth? What was their response? I remember 2 questions I asked distinctly, and the responses. First, I noticed that all of my friends got different stuff in their stockings. Different kinds of candy (or none at all), for example. And my sisters and I were the only ones we knew who got money in their stockings. My mom's response was that she wrote to Santa when we were born to let him know to add us to his list, and she let him know what things to put in the stocking every year. He decided the rest, but the nuts, fruit, money and candy were her choices. It seemed reasonable to me, lol. The second one was shortly after I learned to read cursive. We were going to my grandparents for Christmas that year and my mom was packing the presents to take with us. I noticed a few that were marked "from Santa." I asked her why she had presents from Santa already since it was still a week away. She told me that since we weren't going to be home, Santa stopped by while we were in school and dropped them off so that she could put them under the tree. Again, seemed reasonable to me (I was only 6 or 7 at the time). So how about you. Did you ask any tough questions?

You mean Santa isn't real?I don't remember not knowing that Daddy and Mom were Santa.I only went to sit on Santa's lap once.I never wrote Santa a letter. And every year I would make a Christmas list and give it to my mom.So I always thought of my parents as Santa and Mrs Claus. Now I believe that there is a Santa and he lives in the hearts of his helpers, anyone who buys a gift for someone during the Christmas season.

#1...How come Santa writes like you (mom) sometimes and like Dad sometimes? Answer (which I also used for my own children): Because Santa and the elves are too busy making toys to write out the tags so the moms and dads do it for them and send them with the Dear Santa letters. #How did you get the same wrapping paper for so-and-so that Santa used for my presents? Answer: Santa has so many children to give presents to, moms and dads like to help where they can by buying him extra wrapping paper.

That's some pretty good thinking on your mom's part. The handwriting part never occurred to me now that I think about it.

i was like 3 or 4 I think i asked my mom, when he comes down the chimney he will land in the furnace and burn , right? and how come he was in all those malls at the same time she patiently explained that he had a key to the house and those were just sants helpers my dad was careful to not lie about it, at all so even now 40 years later, if I wanted some nice lies and comforting I would ask my mom, if I want absolute truth I ask my dad.
