Which kind of birds do you prefer as pets?

Canaris or parrots, or whatever else.
I like them all, even if I can't simply manage them.
Mainly for two reasons:
1. we got a cat;
2. we don't stay regularly at home, and birds have got to be regularly cared of.
Moreover, I don't like to see animals in cages, even if it's for their own sake.

you have alot of animals if i had birds my cat will kill them and eat them so i would not have a bird it happened once when we had a cockateil and we let it out and the door was security door and my cat got his claw in to a bird and ripped its head off i did not like the look of it it was bad but anyways have a great day and thanks for the discussion and happy posting

I do not want to cage the birds therefore I dislike keeping birds as pets. However, birds do come and eat the rice and other cereals when my son feeds at almost regular time. Mostly it is pigeons, sparrows and some other field birds.
