Home remedies for acid reflux!  

I haven't heard of any home remedies yet, but I have read a little about what not to eat. Citrus fruits and red sauces are two of things on my list that if I skip for long enough it seems to go away. Last year I skipped these and had yogurt for lunch every day for 2 weeks and it seemed to make a huge difference for me.

Non medical treatment for reflux is modifying lifestyle- no smoking and alcohol. There are some foods and beverages you have to avoid like - coffee, tea, wine, spicy foods, high fat content, sauces including sphagetti. A friend of mine was advised not to lie down flat for 2 hours after eating. Elevate head few nches while you sleep.

Hi everyone I am glad to found those helpful ways here about preventing and treating gastritis. These would really help a lot of people who have experience it and would help me a lot too because I also had those attacks recently.

Yep everyone here saids it right and I just want to add some the way I treated my gastritis during the attacks.
My doctor prescribed me to take medications such as kremil-s which is an antacid and zantac which is an acid blocker. I take kremil-s three times daily and zantac two times daily, one in the morning and one in the night.
Now before taking any medicine be sure to eat first but don't eat too much. I ate oatmeal because this is easy to swallow especially if you had loss of appetite.
Drink water or milk. I also ate every 2 and half hour again from my last meal. I take biscuits or sandwich as snacks and I drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
Continue to do these every day and you'll feel better. When you feel that everything is feeling good, you may take your regular foods but avoid excessive ingredients that promotes gastritis again. Remember that the best cure is prevention.

I have acid reflux and apples, tea with honey and high alkaline water usually help calm dowm my tummy. If I were you, go easy on those prescription drugs. I've had those colorful pills over the years and they did not do me any good. Those colorful pills also have nasty side effects so go easy on them.
