makes me want to shudder to think of it...especially the knives! our dog does not do such amazing things but ohhhhh disgusting, she likes to sneak to the cat litter box and grab herself a crunchy snack.... p*uke! no wonder her breath is so horrible, we have to be careful to keep emptying the litter boxes!

LOL Our Pit mix ate a tube of hydrocortisone, a tube of a and d ointment, a video camera, a video tape, carpet, ferret poop, socks, a pair of earmuffs, and a case from a pocket knife! We obviously watch him a little more carefully now!

It doesn't seem to be just dogs, though. As a life long cat owner, I've seen lots of interesting things that cats eat as well. I admit that dogs eats a larger variety of things, and bigger things, but cats are pretty creative at what they will eat also. I wonder why that is. What is so fascinating about objects that our furry family members want to eat them. One of my kitties has been pulling out the tape from a cassette tape and swallowing it. I have found several wads of it in her vomit. Don't know if she has kept any of it down. Ew... Something I just remembered... I have kittens and they are in the potty training mode. One of them had the runs and left a pile in front of the couch. I had to fight my dog off of it so I could clean it up!! He acted like I was trying to steal his bone!!! I was holding him back while tryiong to get it up without smearing it, and he's scooting as close as he can and sticking that long tongue out to scoop some up before I got it all up. GROSS!!! I was so disgusted. I had to put him outside because I was so grossed out. I never let him lick me in the face, but still, BLAH!!!! Anyway... (*shudder*) Um... yeah, cats eat stuff too. I don't have as much experience with dogs.

I have heard of the dog eating a 12 inch knife. I find that hard to believe, how any animal could eat things like that. And what happens when they start digesting...

Our 'Little' ate Hun's blu-tooth earpiece for his cell phone, then she chewed up his expensive titanium-framed glasses... these things may not have been too interesting or dangerous, but she IS lucky to be alive!LOL!

Holy Moley. I have two black labs, and they eat everything. they're like trash compactors. But I do have to say that our one dog Miller is the worst. She has eaten countless socks, and she even likes to sit and continuously eat the toilet paper off the roll. what an interesting dog.
