Should Local News Do Sensationalized Stories on Celebrities?

It boths me when I watch the local news and hear stories about Brittney Spears and other young hollywood stars (another problem I have who deemed these people stars?) When I watch the local news I want to hear about newsworthy subjects. On any given day there are thousands of stories I'd rather hear then a story on a celbrity gone wild. Heck that isn't even news, tell us when they behave. There is a time and place for everything and sensationalized stories don't belong on the evening news.
