Do you like horror stories, romance, drama? What things fascinate you in that kind you chose? And which writer do you consider the most successful in that kind of stories? Personally i like novels about law with scenes at courts and stuff, horror stories and adventure. Also a good mystery detective book would be a good way to pass my time. Horror writers i prefer Stephen King and Clive Barker, law stories John Grisham and Scott Turrow, and adventurous ones a lot of writers that i dont remember at the moment :)

Among the 3 options given..I prefer horror.. I am not into romance and drama. But I enjoy sci fi and fantasy too. On sci fi I have only read books from Michael Crichton. On fantasy I have read books from Weis and Hickman, Pratchett and Robert Jordan. I have read book from King too. Then from Greeley and Shieldon. Usually I read the summary. If story interests me I read it. :)

I agree, summary is a good way to see if the book is gonna be interesting or not, but not definite. I also take a look at summary, but most of the times, if the writer is one of my favorites i would get the book even if summary seems boring :)

I like horror stories, and mysteries...i don't really prefer a specific writer...I just choose the story and then read it...no matter who the writer is...

Sometimes i have been disappointed by some writers. So i definitely try new ones, but when a new book is out from one of my favorites i would get that instead.
