| | | | | | 1.  Wisteria (100) | 3 years ago |  Yes, I definitely think Sasuke has a chance of defeating Itachi... how much has he gone through trying to obtain this goal? Abandoning his village, betraying his friends and almost giving up his very soul to kill him. It would be pretty pitiful if he went through all that and was still unable to defeat Itachi.
Even if Itachi asks Sasuke to join the Akatsuki, which I doubt he will, Sasuke probably won't accept. After all, this is the man he's been hating for most of his life, to work with him in the Akatsuki would be hypocritical. Besides, he's working with Team Snake right now, isn't he? He doesn't exactly need another group to make him stronger.
As for the fight, I don't think it'll happen just yet, as Itachi doesn't make rash moves and will probably need a motive for facing off against Sasuke. My little theory is that Itachi will go after Naruto because of his Kyubi and Sasuke will "defend" Naruto and fight against Itachi.

| nash3181 (80) | 3 years ago | I don't think there is also a possibility of sasuke joining the akatsuki maybe against his will, because there's a hunch that there's a chance that the akatsuki also want to revive the father/founder of Uchiha clan (a demon more powerful than the kyuubi). where they need three mangekyo sharingan users(with three different techniques) and the power of the kyuubi just to free this demon. it was said to be sealed by the first uchiha (uchiha madara). | |

| | 2.  uniqueme20 (301) | 3 years ago |  Sasuke's sharingan has nearly reached the level of an MS(mankegeyo sharingan) so i guess he has a real good chance against Itachi.Even if Itachi asks him to join he will never do so for he's completed all his training and now I guess there's just one thing for him to do kill Itachi and then just finish the damn story by returning back to the leaf:P

| | 3.  calakarak (130) | 3 years ago |  i reckon sasuke has a chance, but i think itachi will still win. sasuke has been training for 2 and a half years, and so would have itachi. this is freaking itachi. sure sasuke has the white snake healing power now, but itachi would have been a major retard to call out sasuke unless he had a alot of effective jutsu and all that. maybe the whole truth about the clan and that will be revealed, theres still some things that i suspect is being hidden
