46 years on Coronation Street and Still a Heart Throb

William Roache, aka Ken Barlow, has sbeen appearing in Coronation Street for a staggering 46 years! He is the second longest serving soap star in the world and received an MBE for services to TV in 2000.
At 75 he is the only original cast member still in the programme, but who actually believes he is 75. He really has aged wonderfully well, hasnt he?
The only time I do not like his character is when they write in over pompous lines, because both the actor and character are so well educated they really would not be so narrow minded.
Since he celebrates 47 years with the soap in December I am hoping for some nice, big story lines for him. Anyone else lurve Ken?

Yep, I love ken too. I never realized he is actually 75 though. In that case, he looks even better for his age. Go Ken! Wow 46 years is quite a milestone! Good for him!

Yes, he is amazing. Sadly I notice that he is not getting much air time at the moment and was last seen in a pinny playing second fiddle to Becky. Let's hope he has a good story line coming up.
