At what age did you know how to read and write? How did you do it?

At the age of four like any other child in the school.

my mom taught me how to read and write. i was only 3 or 4 when i started writing. my mom would always buy me these writing pads. it's got dotted outline of letters, you just trace them at first. and you keep on doing it for a few lines until you get so used to it.

when i was 6 years old, i could already do cursive writing. which is weird, because now i barely know how to. lol.

well it was grandmother, when i was around 6 years old before i got into 1st grade. we started with the simple abakada sounds for Filipino before i learned to read in English:-)

At the age of 2.5 i started to learn writing alphabets from my mother. At the same time i was learing to read also. but very surprisingly at age of 3 I satrtedreading full sentences vrom the book of my elder brother. how I learned that i don't remember.
