| Was Buck in The Call of The Wild meant to be owned by humans?  | | | |  I do not think Buck, from The Call of The Wild, was meant to be owned by humans. As he goes about his journey, he adapts and becomes more independent. He follows his wild instincts and becomes closer to his ancestral past, when dogs were not owned by humans. What do you think?
