Maternity leave for women is a legal right that every country in the world grants to its working women population. It is a proof of recognition by the world of the role of a mother and her need to be with her child after its birth and also of the fact that as an individual she has the right to build her career and making a family does not hinder it. But when women fought and earned this right, child rearing was still considered the prerogative of the woman and the father had little to do.

But with a vast change in gender roles and the attitude of men towards their pregnant wives and children, this no longer stands true. Men are now getting more involved with the birth of their kids. Right from the time of conception to the delivery of the baby to the after-birth care, men are actively participating in everything.

And it is not just participating in the birth of their child physically or mentally, men also undergo hormonal changes when their partner is about to give birth to their child.
So, maternity leave may be granted to all dads.
