That is really sick and sad. He should just work with his animals more is all. Killing them is sick,sad and deranged. Espically when there are plenty of people who would love to have animals just for pets to love and take care of. I agree it is evil and unfair.

the reason why he didnt get a harsher punishement is cause of who he is... thats the problem with this society thta we live in.. all the stars and big names are getting a slap on the wrist while the underdog gets the harsh punishment.. look at it this way.. if you or i did this we would be looking at several years in prision.. these ppl are suppose to be rolemodels and ppl that we the underdogs look up to.. how are we suppose to look up to them when they get slaps on the wrist for what they do and we get the max penality according to the law of that state province territory etc etc...

Totally sick indeed. I was watching this weeks episode of CSI and it was about dogs and dog fighting - it reminded me of this guy Michael Vick. I don't know how people can do things like that to animals too - He is a beast!

I think being a celebrity saved his butt. Dog fighting is sick and cruel and I can't believe people actually do something that horrible. Many dog breeds get a bad rep because of people like him. Dogs should not be used to fight for pleasure, however sick it may be. He's lucky I wasn't the judge either, Rozie!

Michael Vick are like a lot of people that do not put a value on dogs life. Some people believe that dogs are just dogs to do with what you please.
I am glad he got some jail time but he should have gotten more.
I hope he has to pay back the millions of dollars that the NFL team paid him. That will show him that what he did was wrong.

Isn't that sick? If he's not a beast I'd like to know who is! Did you hear about the letter he wrote to the judge before his sentencing? He claimed where he grew up, I think Newport News, Va., this practice was so common and the cops were never called so he didn't realize it was so illegal. Who cares about it being "illegal"? I don't mean the law doesn't matter, but what I'm saying is I need no law to tell me treating dogs in this way is wrong! I remember when this story first broke they showed some video tapes they had of those dogs and the wanted to play and lick at each other, they had no interest in fighting until they were abused to make them that way. That's so disgusting it literally makes me feel physically ill. So because he's a hot-shot football super-star he'll serve 23 months, part of which he's already served. then go back to his multi-million dollar career plus commercial endorsements. I hope the NFL bans him and all advertisers boycott him but I doubt that will happen because it's all about the almighty dollar, like you said.

Hi Rozie dear! I really don't like dog fighting, actually I despise it. I have two dogs and one is a pitbull. They say that pitbulls are trained in dog fights. How can they do such a thing to these dogs? My pitbull is very sweet and loves to just snuggle close to me and my husband. I wouldn't have the heart to see her bloody and fighting and wouldn't even want to see any dog be in any kind of dog fights. It is horrible and I find it really sickening. How can other people find this a form of entertainment? Just like you, I can't believe how much people are willing to go for the almighty dollar or any currency for that matter. I hope Michael Vicks should have gotten what he truly deserves. Take care and have a nice day!:)
