We'll be using SpiceJet and Indian Airlines over the next 2 weeks and have etickets (domestic flights inside India only). Unfortunately by brother in law does not have a valid passport as it has expired. No Drivers license or Voters id either. Willa college id be sufficient. Any of you have any experience. He has travelled before with his college ID.

well, I have dug out this topic, of over 3years. ... how did the said travel go? ... did your people find a solution, or has the airlines declined to allow boarding to you?...
i have travelled by spicejet, and i found their services to be very good. .. though they do have some problems with their ground-staff, .. and at some ports, they might be shunted out to an obsolete corner, .. i don't think, they would just refuse to allow genuine passengers, just because one is not having a identity to their satisfaction.
may be, the DGCA, the governmental authority, has some issues on this.
keep updating us.
