Problem about IE |
|
Hi guys, I don't really know if some of you know about this, but i really need some help. As you know some sites request IE instead of other "browser". I am a Mozilla user, but i still need to open IE for other sites. I am having this problem since yesterday, i reboot pc, nothing changes (problem is always there). I open a IE page and the report window pops up saying that IE has encountered a problem and needs to close. I already scanned, but nothing dangerous appear. I already rebooted my pc lots of times, but this problem continues. This is a bit annoying. I didn't installed/ changed neither delete any program. Did it happened already to you? Do you know how to fix it? Thank you for your attention

| Ruibinha (82) | 9 months ago | Thanks! I will try that. Just, when I check my email I like to use IE, in firefox the site gets "crazy", I don't know, maybe the site isn't prepared to support mozilla. Thanks a lot for your answer. I will try that right away.

sauanu (1241) | 9 months ago | Hey Ruibnha! Did it solve your problem?
| |
|
|
| Ruibinha (82) | 9 months ago | yes sauanu, I'm still having same problem. But now, for example, let's say I open the MSN, click on my emails, it opens a window (IE window) and the problem window appears. IF I go to the right down corner, right click over msn icon and choose "check email".... the problem don't exist. I think this is getting weird lol ... Or it works or it doesn't work. I don't know what is making this trouble

2. jarves (715) | 9 months ago | Hmmm...it seems that your Internet Explorer has been corrupted. You better uninstall it first then install it again. You can also run a system restore to restore the previous working state of your Internet Explorer. You can either use windows built in system restorer program or just use any third party applications to do that. There are lots of third party software out there to the that work. Or you can just download the latest internet explorer and download some critical updates.

| 3. jintodelhi (78) | 9 months ago | Hi, I am also experienced the same issueafter installing Mozila to my PC. Now I am not receiving such issue, I have repared IE after Installing Mozila. I think the reason may Mozila is using/blocking some files which required by IE, by repairing IE, these files are free to access by IE.

| Ruibinha (82) | 9 months ago | I have Mozilla more than 1 year ago. Never had problems with it. So I guess this problem has nothing to do with mozilla, or this problem would appear long time ago:|. Anyways thanks:)

| 5. sharma_u (29) | 9 months ago | Well if you use firefox then I dont think you need IE at all. All you need is the IETab extension for firefox. If you have to use IE then unstalling and then reinstalling should be able to solve your problem.

santuccie (1771) | 9 months ago | This is funny. Weren't you asking in another forum how to use IE in Linux? I think you already know that Firefox is not fully standards-compliant. Firefox is a good browser, and in fact my primary browser. But some people still need IE. And this IETab you refer to is just a tool to sort of embed IE in Firefox. It's only 167 kilobytes, so it obviously has to use IE's files. And if IE's files are corrupted, IETab might not work, methinks.
