And it doesn't cost a thing except time. Being frugal. Of course maybe you already do these things. Instead of using the dryer, hang up your clothes on a wooden dryer. Run the washer only in the evening - it costs less - off peak hours. Wash your dishes - by filling the sink with soapy water - or if you have to use the dishwasher - at night.
Cut coupons, invest in energy efficient windows and thermal curtains. WEar slippers and an extra layer and turn down your heat. Invest in energy efficient appliances. REcycle paper - you can take your old paper and make new paper! You can get a kit online I'm sure.
Shop at thrift stores - you can even find NEW clothing WITH TAGS. Share rides with others going the same way - you can call your local public transportation center - bus place - and ask to be hooked up with commuters going to the same place - in most states. Go to places like cafemom and read discussions boards for freebies and deals and get free samples from walmart and other places. Soap, conditioner, shampoo, creme etc. Search for books on being thrifty or frugal at your local library.
There are so many ways - do you have ways of being frugal you'd like to share?
