Lieberman Endorses McCain... | | There were a bunch of endorsements coming out over the weekend, some were expected and some were surprising, some may make a difference and some may not, but few were as stunning to most people as former VP candidate and Democrat, now Independent Senator from Connecticut Joe Lieberman's endorsement of Republican Senator John McCain. This, even though Lieberman's Senate colleague Chris Dodd is also running for President. What are your thoughts are this? What I'm really curious about is, what does Al Gore think about this? Has Lieberman effectively ended his political career, at least in his "Blue State" of Connecticut? I'd certainly hope so! Annie

anniepa (9276) | 2 years ago | They sure did start early this time, didn't they? I think it might have something to do with people having a severe case of "Bush Burn-Out"...lol. I know I am! I agree with you though, I don't really think many voters - if any - are swayed too much by celebrity endorsements. The one thing I heard said quite a bit concerning Oprah's endorsement of Obama was she did get people to attend his rallies to see her and once they were there they would hear what Obama had to say, so in that way it might do some good in his case with people who maybe paid little or not attention to the election otherwise. But the number of people who actually went to one of these rallies in relation to the number of total potential voters isn't even a drop in the proverbial bucket. Annie
