Do you live in a small town or city that is unfortunately known for an infamous criminal? One who either was raised there or lived there either prior or during the time of their crimes? Unfortunately, I was raised 15 minutes from Bath, Ohio. For those of you who don't know, that is the town where Jeffery Dahmer grew up. And I'm not sure who all knows, but Charles Manson (born with last name Maddox) is from Cincinatti, Ohio. I'm sure there's probably some more from surrounding areas. I don't know why it seems like we get all the nut jobs. But anyway, who's from your area?

I'm from Ohio too so we will always have a bad reputation because of those guys. I moved to Wichita Kansas right after the BTK guy was caught. I saw it on the news and said - wonder if his place will be up for rent as we were looking (yes I was joking). What a creep.

Ok, refresh my memory about the BTK guy. What part of Ohio were you from? Well, just think on the upside, there are some great Hollywood stars from here also. Halle Berry-Cleveland, Marilyn Manson-Canton,DeVo-Akron, Steve Harvey-Cleveland,The wife on Everybody loves Raymond-Cleveland,LeBron James-Akron,Macy Gray(yeah we'll count her)-Canton, Miranda Lambert or is it Danielle Peck (county singer) from Coshocton, hmm I'm sure there's some more I'm forgetting. But you get the point. Hopefully all of those will out weigh the killers.

Gary Evans - Gary was a career criminal and serial killer. This is the book written about him.
Yes we had a career criminal and he was a serial killer as well. His name was Gary Evans. He was born and raised here in Troy NY. He even went as far as to kill his childhood friends. They were criminals as well. We had gone to the same school. He was a few years older than me. There is a book written about him, by the detective who dealth with him his whole criminal life. It's a really good book.

"Every Move You Make" was an excellant book. You will not want to put it down. Gary's problems were from an abusive family life.

No one famous in a worldwide sense but yes we've had a few local murderers. One, I went to school with and was a friend of my s/o. The two people he murdered actually spent their last night alive at my s/o's house. He always wondered if there were any clues he missed that this guy was going to kill them the next day. Actually a few of my friends were connected to this (but not in a criminal way) just because it was such a tight group of friends....by ex-BIL is the one that drove him out of state after the murder not knowing what had happened, my ex was questioned because he'd seen the two people also, they were killed at another friends house...he's serving life without parole.

Wow! Did they ever find out why he killed them? What makes people do this? That's a good question, were there signs? Was it his plan when he went to visit, or did the thought occur while there? Hmm, I wonder. Thanks for posting.
