I'm up late, about to go to bed, when something caught my eye. I had to watch VH-1's top 100 songs of the 90's. Talk about flashbacks. 100 was Rico Suave by Gerardo. Do you remember that song? He was hot, still hot. I loved that song. Well now he's a minister and sings in church in Anaheim, and has a gospel album. He also was a talent scout prior to that and signed Enrique Iglesias. Well, I don't know how long I'll be up, but if you watched it, list a song and tell what number it ranked at. I hope this is a fun discussion.

I can't remember the one they mentioned directly after Rico Suave (yes, I remember him...) but I remember that it gave me pause and made me want to linger even though I was desperate for sleep...man...I am racking my brain trying to remember now...it made me feel a little sad for bygone days (lol @ my cheesiness) tears for fears maybe? no....AAAARRRRGGGGH!

#70 Jamiroquoi? Virtual insanity, this was a cool song. I can't believe I didn't know he was white. I thought he was mixed or light skin black person. Must've been that big hat. Love KoRn...that was cool to see them on the list. Oh #68 Wil Smith, Gettin Jiggy wit it, now that was a party song. I still like to hear that in the summer cruisin with the windows down.

lol, no it wasn't Jamiriquai...or however that's spelled...yeah, I thought he was mixed or something...completely white? wow. I think it WAS the big hat...although...why that would signify he is mixed I don't know...it just...hid his features more, maybe...or maybe it cast a shadow over his face, giving the appearance of a darker skin tone. :)

Okay, because of you I am watching it. Its a commercial. I'm waiting... Pet commercials, digital camera commercials, skin care commercials. Finally- it's back on. You know, come to think of it, the 90's wasn't the best decade of our history. It was good though. A lot of my music folder contains music from the 90's.
What was the problem with the people in the 90's? The songs seem very depressing. Maybe it's just me. And I don't get the 'Emo' thing that's hitting these young kids nowadays.

I posted a bit too soon. I should have waited a second then I could also comment to you on the 'Mr. T/ World of Warcraft' commercial. Too late, it's over.

Too funny. I don't know what's with the Emo stuff, but there was something different about the 90's. Well, heck, there's the answer, most of these kids that are in the emo age range were born in the 90's...LOL. Thanks for commenting. It's coming back on tonight. I'm anxious for the top 20, what about you? I like watching stuff like this, it makes think back.
