It's an important source of calcium both when we are children and growing and needing it for strong teeth and bones and when we are older when we are less able to absorb calcium; it can help prevent illnesses like osteoporosis the brittle bone disease.

I think its important to have milk in your diet, but i don't think everyone needs alot of milk.
As long as we all eat healthily and a variety of food types it isn't essential.
Young babies and children up until they have enough food in a day to have a healthy diet it is essential.
Pregnant women should also have some milk in their diet to help their unborn baby(s) develop well.
Having too much milk can also cause problems, which is the same with everything.
Its ok to eat sweet foods and greasy foods, aslong as you dont have your whole diet full of those sorts of foods.

I think milk is very good. For you. I drink milk and cookies. Or I put it pudding and in my coffee. Since I'm getting older I need the calcium for my bones. Haven"t broke one yet Knock On wood.

for kids its important but for adults..no..as long as they get plenty of calcium (sp) in their diet..

milk & dairy products are primary sources of calcium. almost every vitamins & mineral are contain in milk. so we must keep one glass of milk in our daily food list.
