| |  What's wrong with them is that they aren't here to have fun, but rather have agendas. The ones I can think of that are most vicious are the ones who are determined to actually change people's minds on things... and can't deal with it when we don't all just let them brainwash us. :P
Personally I don't get bent on this kind of stuff, though I do occasionally get upset when I see people spewing too much hate or intolerance.

| | What I was thinking with that comment is that some people learn the opposite of what is taught. Growing up with horrific abuse, what I learned was not to abuse others but to be kind because I knew how bad the abuse made me feel. I know other people who grew up in happy environments who instead of learning kindness learned to hurt others because they found their life "boring" or thought their parents were "suckers".
So really blaming anything on someone's background is kind of unfair, both to them and to the people who were part of that background. I will not allow anyone to give credit for my kindness to the people who abused me, since being kind was my choice. In the same way, I would hate to see perfectly fine people being blamed because their children went astray somehow.
It is true that some people turn out like the environment they grew up in, but that too is a choice. | | | |

This is a question, dear bala, that I have trouble answering. I have never understood the quest for vengance. I am sure at times, many of us feel very angry at what others may have done to us, but in the end, I was raised to think that forgiveness is the key.
I realise how it feels to want to hurt another because of something they may have done, but this emotion is better controlled for I feel, in the longrun, one will not gain from this sort of thinking and acting.
The pursuit of revenge is wrong in my mind.
Not a one of us is perfect, but we must strive for peace, not hostility.
Human nature is not pretty at times.

| |  Different people have different temperments....Even though this place appears to be fun filled often,the discussions sometimes unwittingly lead to soul searching ,and self realizations,and perhaps a platform to went out/compensate for personal mistakes and loses.....I must admit ,it is wrong to make your friends the target of your emotions.....Apologizing from the bottom of the heart,is the only way out in such cases and also learning a lesson from from ones' mistakes also helps................

| |  Bala, ppl tend to vent out all their pent up grudges, grievances and complaints, which they cannot in real life. That's the beauty of this place! myLot is like 'neelkanth, absorbing all our blues.
And, there ofcourse are ppl who are generally jittery even with simplest of issues and some think they are the big boss of all and have the right to refute, counsel and say the final word even at the risk of being tagged know-it-all. lol..
