That program you're using is Jasc's Animation Shop right?
Admittedly I use Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator for my graphics work, but generally, the problem you're getting seems to be coming from any or a combination of these three:
1) resolution - a high quality printout requires 300dpi (dots per inch).
2) dimension - We can probably interpret this as "resolution described in width and height". A measure of the "physical" height and width of the image. large dimension is better. Standard monitor resolution seems to be 800x600 to 1024x768 nowadays.. If your image is,say, 640x480 in dimension and you view it on a 1024x768 monitor, then enlarge that image "artificially", there will be jaggies.
3) filetype - GIF are great for logos with no gradient. JPEG and PNGs are great for photos.
Also consider file size especially when outputting images to the web. The above three contribute to file size.
Also you could use any ANTI-ALIASING option for your (output) images. ALIASING is the term that describes exactly that pixelation(?) problem that you're getting.
